About

Alondra de la Parra has conducted some of the world's most renowned orchestras, including the Orchestre de Paris, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, The WDR Symphony Orchestra, Le Verbier Festival Orchestra (VFO), the BBC Philharmonic, the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, L'Orchestra - Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
In 2024, she was appointed Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of ORCAM, the Orquesta y Coro de la Comunidad de Madrid, a position she'll be assuming September 2024.
In April 2022, she was appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano. In the 2022-2023 season, she conducts a Brahms cycle with the Münchner Symphoniker. The season is completed with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, the Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España, the Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, the DR Symfoni orkestret in Denmark, OSESP - Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai in Torino and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia. She is a regular guest of the Royal Opera House in London.
In 2016 she took up the position of Music Director of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, a post she held until the end of 2019.
Highlights in previous seasons include Carlos Padrissa's acclaimed stage production of Mozart's Thamos, King of Egypt with the Camerata Salzburg and the theatre collective La Fura dels Baus at Mozartwoche Salzburg 2019.
